What Would Dolly Do?
 
A new motto for life, inspired by the incredible life and spirit of Dolly Parton.
I have a copy of this hanging in my studio. Whenever I’m faced with one of life’s little dilemmas, I look at it and ask myself, “What would Dolly do?” Then I try to do that. Because, really, there are worse people to take life advice from.
 
In the spirit of Dolly, £15 from every print sold will be donated to charity. At present, this is the British Red Cross Nepal Floods Emergency Fund. Helping people when they need it feels very much like something Dolly would do.
 
The artwork features a pretty border of intertwined wild roses and ivy, with three butterflies: a Peacock butterfly, a Holly Blue and an Orange-tip.
At its centre, the words “What would Dolly do?” are picked out in slightly raised, hand-applied 23.5 carat gold leaf, giving the lettering a beautiful subtle shimmer when it catches the light.
 
The print is A4 in size and is printed onto archival paper using archival inks. The 23.5 carat gold leaf is then applied by hand, so each print has its own tiny variations and is a little piece of handmade artwork in its own right.
 
The prints come unframed, with a mount board which protects the gold leaf during transit and also gives the artwork a lovely finished appearance if you choose to frame it yourself.

To keep your print looking its best, please display it away from direct sunlight to help prevent fading. Where possible, I recommend framing behind UV-protective glass.
